Calexico hosts Houston, Cascadia Cup title game in a shootout

The Houston Dynamo and Vancouver Whitecaps will face off in a rematch of last year’s Cascadian Cup final.

The Dynamo and Whitecaps face off on Saturday in Vancouver for the second time in three seasons as the Dynamo take on the visiting side in what is expected to be a thrilling game in front of a sellout crowd of about 30,000.

The Dynamo are 3-0-0 all-time in Cascadians playoff history with the Whitecaps 1-0 down to date in their first matchup in the semifinals.

The Whitecaps have won three straight playoff matches, including a 3-2 win in Seattle on Saturday.

The Whitecaps are on the verge of tying the all-timeline franchise record with two consecutive playoff appearances, while Houston are currently tied for the most playoff wins in franchise history with eight.

The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. local time, which is two hours before the Whitehouse-Hilton Headcount at Whitehouse Park.

Tickets for the Cascades semifinals will go on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m., and fans can purchase them online at or by phone at 1-855-AFSCS (3262).
